Jonathan Kent

Biography

Jonathan Kent is a Southern California native whose experience bridges both education and industry. With over a decade of collegiate-level instruction, he understands the demands of dynamic, high-achieving music programs. Since 2013, Jonathan has been part of the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band—the official band of the Tournament of Roses—celebrating each New Year’s Day with the iconic march down Colorado Boulevard.

“Being on the world stage has taught me to sweat the small stuff,” Jonathan explains. “Those HD cameras see everything, so we have to look good from every angle. These are the qualities I’m looking forward to bringing to our clients at DeMoulin: a perspective that understands both the context of these uniforms and just how important they are to each band.”

Prior to joining DeMoulin, Jonathan served as West Coast Logistics Coordinator for a leading band and color guard wholesaler, overseeing distribution of marching band accessories. He also worked as Education and Lessons Coordinator for Bertrand’s Music, a family-owned music store chain serving schools across Southern California. With expertise in rentals, purchasing procedures, accessories, and logistics, Jonathan brings a well-rounded perspective and will be a strong resource for directors throughout the region.

Outside the marching arts, Jonathan is a songwriter and bassist for multiple bands in the Los Angeles area. He is also an avid runner, frequently competing in marathons and participating with the nationally recognized Koreatown Run Club.
