Honoring History Through Music: DeMoulin Proudly Supports the All-American D-Day Band

For another year, DeMoulin is honored to partner with the All-American D-Day Band, an extraordinary organization that gives talented high school musicians the opportunity to honor our nation's history through music, education, and service.

Each year, students from across the United States earn their place in the ensemble through a competitive nomination and video audition process. Once selected, they embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to France, where they perform during commemorative ceremonies and events honoring the brave men and women who served during World War II.

Preparing for an Unforgettable Journey

Before departing for Europe, the band gathered in Washington, D.C., where DeMoulin proudly provided each student with their marching uniform. As part of this tradition, DeMoulin Vice President of Sales, Michael Coling, traveled to Washington to personally fit every student, ensuring they were performance-ready before beginning their international journey.

While in the nation's capital, the students experienced several of America's most meaningful landmarks. They visited Arlington National Cemetery and performed at the National World War II Memorial, paying tribute to the sacrifices of the Greatest Generation before traveling overseas.

Following the Footsteps of History

The band's journey continues through Paris and Normandy, where students visit historic landmarks that shaped the course of World War II. Their experience culminates with participation in the D-Day Memorial Parade through the village of Sainte-Mère-Église, one of the first French towns liberated during the Allied invasion on June 6, 1944.

By performing in these historic locations, students gain a deeper understanding of the courage, sacrifice, and resilience demonstrated during one of history's most pivotal moments.

Preserving a Legacy

The All-American D-Day Band is more than a performance ensemble—it is an educational experience that connects young musicians with history in a meaningful and unforgettable way. Through music, these students help preserve the legacy of those who fought for freedom while ensuring their stories continue to inspire future generations.
