Shawn Cox

Biography

Shawn's love of music began in a small farming community in Sullivan County, Indiana. He received both his Bachelor of Music Education and his masters degree from Greenville University. He taught music for 19 years in the Bond County Unit 2 School District in Southern Illinois. He has enjoyed working with students from kindergarten through high school, teaching marching band, concert choir, general music, jazz band, and directing musical theatre. His performing ensembles have flourished in his time as an educator. He is passionate about making ensembles look professional because when students look professional, their performances are taken to the next level and the community takes pride in their achievements! Shawn lives with his wife and five children.
