Born less than a mile from Wrigley Field, Rick spent his early childhood in the by-ways and high-ways of Chicago land. After graduating from Memphis University in 1970 and spending a three year stint in the US Army, Rick began his career as a band uniform consultant in 1974 with the Ostwald Uniform Company. Over the last 37 years, he has worked for four major uniform companies, and has developed skills in uniform design and tailoring. He has an ability to problem solve, create custom designs, organize a band for a major uniform investment, and is an expert in the formal bid process.
Rick has lived in the Pittsburgh, PA area for the past 37 years, and is a current resident of Bethel Park, PA. He is happily married to his wife of 38 years, Judy, and has three children. Rick likes skiing, golf, and basketball, but on Friday Nights in the fall you may find him with the Bethel Park Marching Band where he has been a booster in charge of uniforms, and a former member of the executive committee.
He has had great success in the high schools, colleges, and universities of Western Pennsylvania, and Eastern Ohio. Starting in 1988 with DeMoulin Bros. & Co., he began with less than 20 customers. By the fall of 1999, the number of DeMoulin Customers has increased (15 times) to over 300, and as of today, the territory continues to grow at a very rapid pace.
If you would like Rick to meet with you and your band organization, please give him a call. Rick would be happy to answer your questions or set up an appointment to visit your school.
